🐾 Never-Ending Care for Kherson’s Animals
In the heart of Kherson and its surrounding villages, life remains deeply affected by war. Many families fled their homes, leaving behind pets who had nowhere to go and no one left to care for them.
And yet — even in these difficult times — there is hope.
Every single week, brave volunteers enter the most dangerous areas to feed, rescue, and comfort the abandoned animals of Kherson. Their compassion never stops. 💛💙
In Kherson’s red zones — areas regularly shelled or under drone surveillance — delivering food is extremely dangerous. Cars are often targeted by drones, so volunteers cannot drive.
Instead, they pull bags of pet food on small carts, walking long routes on foot to reach animals waiting near empty houses, destroyed buildings, and quiet courtyards.
They go once a week, no matter the weather, no matter the risks.
Because the animals depend on them — and they know that if they don’t go, many won’t survive.
Some dogs run toward them the moment they arrive.
Some cats appear silently from the shadows.
Some simply sit and wait… hoping someone will return.
And someone does.
Thanks to your kindness, we are able to purchase cat and dog food and ship it directly to volunteers in Kherson.
These shipments allow volunteers to:
-
Feed animals in red-zone villages
-
Support runners who travel by foot with carts
-
Help abandoned animals in the city of Kherson
Every box we send becomes a lifeline.
Every bag of food becomes hope delivered.
To everyone who donates, shares, or simply spreads awareness — thank you. Your kindness travels across borders, into dangerous zones, and finally into the paws and hearts of animals who would not survive without it. 💛💙
